WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A CAKE SMASH PHOTOSHOOT
My cakesmash sessions are all about capturing the pure, unfiltered joy of your little one’s first birthday.
I believe in letting your baby’s personality shine through, so there’s no strict posing involved. Instead, I focus on creating a fun and playful environment where your baby can explore and have a blast!
We start by building excitement with bubbles and balloons, capturing those precious giggles and curious expressions. Then, the moment everyone’s been waiting for – the cake! Some babies dive right in, while others take a moment to figure out this delicious new experience. Either way, the result is pure, messy fun!
My cakesmash sessions are completely bespoke, tailored to your baby’s unique style and personality.
It’s a chance to create lasting memories filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of mess! Let us capture your baby’s first birthday in a way that’s as special as they are.

If you prefer to decide on your collection after your little one’s cake smash session the collection option is for you.
A session fee of £70 is taken at the time of booking.
Packages are purchased separately at your ordering appointment.

5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
These are normally done around your baby’s first birthday and I suggest booking in around 3 months in advance. As I use a local cake maker these are not normally sessions that I can book in last minute, unless we do a cakeless smash.
Many of my clients like to have their photo’s in time for their one’s birthdays so scheduling well in advance is essential.
No problem you can have beautiful bespoke portrait session without the cake or you can replace the cake with fruit. Strawberries, lemons and oranges work particularly well.
Around 1 hour depending on your baby. There is no rush and the session is all taken at your little one’s pace.
Yes absolutely! Just let me know at the time of booking that you would like to include your older children. Why not update your family photo’s we will get a few at the beginning of the session.
My studio is in Portlethen, 10 minutes south of Aberdeen. I serve families from all over the Northeast. Families travel to me for their cakesmash photography session from all over Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
