Are you in the search for an Aberdeen Maternity Photographer?

Pregnancy is a wonderful and special time in your life, its full of excitement and great change.

Whether you are entering into motherhood for the first time, second, third or more each pregnancy is different and one that you may wish to document with beautiful images that you and your children can look back on.

I love to take photo’s of women when they are pregnant, it reminds me of my own pregnancies and that sense of nervousness and excitement you feel.

Women choose me as their Aberdeen maternity photographer as I make them feel, beautiful, glamorous and confident.

My sessions capture not only the love, hope and excitement you have, but also show your strength and power.

These sessions are all about you! Let’s face it once your little one is here you wont have much time for YOU time!

This is a chance to feel glamorous and dress up like a queen before your baby arrives.

Those last few weeks can feel like a lifetime, but the reality is its such a short time in your life and you are only pregnant with this child once!

I photograph many newborns but only photograph a few of their mums while they are still pregnant, many have said they regret not capturing their bump with professional photos.

Samantha came to me a little unsure about her session but just look how stunning she is.

You may feel nervous and a bit self conscious about revealing you’re bump and unsure a maternity shoot is right for you because you don’t feel glamorous.

Trust me I understand, in the last few weeks of my last pregnancy I didn’t feel attractive, had sore hips, waddled when I walked and generally just feel meh just wanted my beautiful daughter out!

My aim is to take all that away (if only for the session) and make you feel glamours and beautiful. Getting to dress up in beautiful gowns can make most women feel like a princess and that’s how I want you to feel at the end of your session with stunning images to look back on.

My studio is completely private, situated in Portlethen, Aberdeenshire which is just a 5 minute journey from Aberdeen.

I don’t rush your session and I light and pose you in the most flattering way.

Many clients have said they found the session a real confidence boost.

There is no pressure to reveal all during a maternity shoot I understand that it can be nerve wracking standing in front of the camera.

These sessions are all about you and what you want to get from them.

They are very relaxed, I like to have a laugh and get to know you.

Your shoot can be styled, using my beautiful gowns or we can keep it simple and all about you and your bump. I am always up for trying something new, if there is something you have seen that I have not done before, let’s give it a go.

Maternity sessions are best done from 30 weeks of pregnancy. This ensures you have a nice visible bump but are not at the stage of feeling really heavy.

Session can last up to 1 hour and 30 minutes long. However there is no rush. I don’t book more than one session a day so we can take our time.

Your session is planned around your preferences. I have a wide range of beautiful gowns and outfits that you can make use of. We will talk about styling before your session so that we make sure we cover everything you want, remember these are about you!

When you come for your session you will be welcomed and made to feel at ease. You, your partner and children (if you already have them) are more than welcome to be part of your session, in fact I encourage this to make wonderful memories to look back on. I take inspiration from my fellow photographer Jay Saunders, her maternity work (and generally all her photography) is simply amazing. Jay does the most amazing balloon garlands for her cake smash Essex sessions, have a read of her blog all about her awesome cake smash sessions.

  1. Wow, such stunning images! I’m so glad I had maternity photos taken even if I didn’t feel like getting them done at the time. Such special memories x
